Step 1

Incision Design: Make a spindle- or oval-shaped incision along the axillary fold or hair-bearing area to conceal the scar.

Step 2

Flap Elevation: Separate skin and subcutaneous tissue, preserving the dermis for blood supply, and expose the sweat gland area.

Step 3

Gland Removal: Excise or scrape apocrine and sweat glands with surgical tools, ensuring thorough removal.

Step 4

Hemostasis: Control bleeding, irrigate the wound, and place drainage if needed.

Step 5

Closure and Dressing: Layered suturing, pressure bandage, and possible drain removal within 24–48 hours.
